Vithi vs Microsoft To Do: the daily list and the longer academic record

A daily list can be empty at night while your academic records are still scattered. Microsoft To Do and Vithi address different parts of that situation. This comparison is written by Vithi.

The daily list has a clear job

Microsoft describes My Day as a daily planner within To Do. It is relevant when you need to choose a manageable set of actions for today.

Vithi’s syllabus, mock and portfolio areas preserve academic information beyond a single day. An exam attempt remains worth finding after “take practice paper” has been checked off.

Build a day from evidence

Suppose you have an essay edit, a short practice session and a club follow-up. Put the concrete actions in the daily list you use. Consult your subject and exam records before deciding which practice deserves the available time.

After a mock, enter the actual score and date in Vithi. After an activity, record your contribution in the portfolio. Keep the teacher’s instructions and original documents available so a brief task label does not replace the detail.

Avoid copying every checkbox

Choose To Do if a simple daily action list is your main requirement. Evaluate Vithi if you want a place to review subjects, attempts and activities together.

If you keep both, define one owner for each kind of information. Copying every action into two apps creates a reconciliation job. No Microsoft To Do synchronisation or reminder parity is claimed here; test the actual workflow you intend to rely on.
