Vithi vs Google Classroom: personal records and school submissions
If your school uses Google Classroom, another student app should not create uncertainty about where to hand in work. Google Classroom and Vithi have different roles in this workflow. This comparison is written by Vithi and focuses on the boundary between an official class submission and a personal academic record.
Keep the hand-in in the assigned place
Google’s student help guide describes attaching work to a Classroom assignment and using Turn in or Mark as done, depending on the assignment. It also describes the resulting submission status. Follow your teacher’s instructions for the actual class task.
Vithi’s mock-score and portfolio records do not submit an assignment to your teacher. Adding a score, activity description or calendar entry there is not evidence that your school received a file. Keep the school submission workflow as the authority for that question.

Follow one project through both roles
Imagine a class presentation about water quality. Read the assignment instructions in Classroom, prepare the requested file and submit it through the specified class workflow. Check the submission status there rather than treating a personal checklist as confirmation. This example does not imply that every school assigns the same task or accepts the same file format.
Afterwards, a personal activity record can describe your own contribution. In Vithi’s portfolio, the activity form provides a title and description. A hypothetical entry might say “prepared the sample labels and explained our method during the presentation”. Use only wording that matches what you actually did.
Keep the presentation and feedback in their existing school or personal filing location. The portfolio description gives context to the activity; it does not replace the source document or certify the accuracy of the work.
Separate class marks from comparable mock attempts
A teacher’s mark on a presentation and a timed practice-paper score are not interchangeable measurements. Preserve the marking context in the school record. Do not put an assignment mark under an unrelated exam merely to collect every number in one graph.
For an actual mock attempt, Vithi’s form asks for the exam, score and date taken. Check the scoring scale and exam selection against your marked paper before entering it. If the relevant exam is unavailable, keep the source record rather than forcing a match. A manually entered number does not verify its own meaning.
Decide what information needs a second home
Classroom is the right place to consult class instructions and submission status when that is the system your teacher has assigned. Vithi may be useful for a personal record spanning mock attempts and activities beyond a single class. It need not replace the school system to serve that purpose.
Copying every announcement into another app creates another version to maintain. Instead, preserve the original instructions and transfer only the personal record you intend to consult later. No Classroom import, grade synchronisation or automatic hand-in connection is claimed for Vithi in this article.
Use a submission and record check
For the school task, check: correct assignment; required file attached; submission action completed; status checked in the school system. If the system reports an error, follow the school’s support or teacher-contact process rather than assuming a personal app has completed the hand-in.
For the personal record, check: activity title; your specific contribution; evidence location in your own files; any actual exam attempt kept under the correct exam and date. Leave out classmates’ private feedback and avoid copying a shared document wholesale.
Try this split with one completed task. If you can confirm the hand-in and later explain your contribution without hunting through unrelated messages, the arrangement is doing two clear jobs. If your school system already preserves everything you need, adding another record may be unnecessary.
