Vithi vs Google Calendar: planning study time and choosing what to study

A calendar can show that you reserved an hour for revision. It cannot, by that reservation alone, show whether you understood the material. Vithi and Google Calendar can be compared by separating time commitments from academic records. This is a Vithi-authored guide.

What a calendar entry answers

Google Calendar documents events, dated tasks and shared calendars. Those are useful when the question is when something happens or who needs to attend.

Vithi includes a calendar as well as subjects, syllabus records, mock attempts and portfolio activities. The choice is partly whether you want scheduling near those academic areas or within your existing Google scheduling routine.

Give a time block a clear input and output

For a hypothetical Thursday session, review the relevant syllabus topic and the errors from your last attempt before choosing the work. A useful block might read “40 minutes: practise two data-response questions and check both answers”.

After the session, record the next step based on what you could actually answer. A block ending on time is evidence of time spent, not automatically evidence that the topic is secure.

Avoid two versions of your week

If your school and family already use Google Calendar, keeping it as your scheduling authority may prevent conflicting appointments. Vithi can still be evaluated for the academic record itself.

If you choose Vithi’s calendar, first enter one real appointment and check its date and time. No Google Calendar synchronisation is claimed here. Do not delete the source event or rely on an unverified reminder during a trial.
