How to track scholarship applications

Published · Vithi team

Scholarship applications often overlap with university applications but have their own rules and dates. A separate tracker prevents them from disappearing into a general task list.

Check eligibility before drafting

Record the official source, eligibility rules, award terms, required course or destination and renewal conditions. Some awards need separate applications; others are automatic. Confirm which applies.

List every component

Write down essays, references, transcripts, financial documents, interviews and submission method. Record the time zone of the deadline and any required file formats.

Reuse evidence, tailor the answer

Keep a bank of accurate examples and reflections, but respond to each prompt directly. Copying the same essay into different questions can leave key criteria unanswered.

Track submission and follow-up

Save confirmation receipts and note when decisions are expected. If you receive an award, read the acceptance and renewal terms before making plans around the amount.
