A four-week exam revision plan you can adapt

Published · Vithi team

A four-week plan works best as a sequence of decisions, not a promise to study every topic equally. Start with the exam dates and the evidence you already have from classwork and mocks.

Week 1: map the gaps

List topics from the current syllabus and mark each as secure, uncertain or untested. Use recent questions to check the uncertain topics. Put high-impact gaps and early exams first. Keep one or two buffer blocks in the week.

Week 2: repair and practice

For each priority topic, review the underlying idea, work through an example and answer a fresh question without notes. Record what still goes wrong. Avoid spending the whole week rewriting notes that you already understand.

Week 3: work under exam conditions

Attempt timed sections or papers that match your course format. Review lost marks by cause: knowledge, interpretation, method or timing. Use the pattern to adjust the next two or three study blocks.

Week 4: consolidate and protect capacity

Return to recurring errors and key processes. Practice starting questions promptly and checking answers. Confirm exam logistics, materials and travel. Leave enough sleep and recovery time to use what you have learned.
